Patient Forms

Upon entering Orinda Family Chiropractic, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with our chiropractic doctors to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This part of the initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine which types of evaluation and examination procedures will benefit your specific needs and how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

If the doctor identifies an underlying condition for which other treatment is appropriate, you will be referred to your GP or another specialist without delay. Chiropractic can, however, be very helpful in providing additional relief even for conditions such as these.

Examination

After your consultation, our chiropractic doctors will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing the affected regions of the body. Standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed if necessary. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may recommend that you have X-rays taken by a local X-ray facility. In some cases, X-rays help us refine the treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most cases that walk into our office do not require us to take X-rays. In some cases, you have already had them taken recently and you can bring them with you to your first visit in our office.

Report of Findings

Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, the doctor will give you an explanation of what ailments or conditions you are experiencing. He will discuss how Chiropractic can help you and some of the other specific information important to your particular case.

After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, our chiropractic doctors will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Our chiropractic doctors will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
